The 55 Step Flow Form

The 55 Step Flow Form

Tai Chi (Taijiquan) is a martial art a few hundreds years old. An important element is a series of linked movements called a `form’ based on fighting movements. During the 1920s various Tai Chi masters took out vigorous martial aspects to make it easier to learn and to stress the health aspects. This produced the distinctive slow, even movements that are famous today. In recent decades there has been more focus on introducing Tai Chi to seniors and those with a range of health issues preventing them from performing robust exercise. Michael Davies teaches the "55 Step Simplified Yang Form" which has no kicks, squats or single leg standing postures. for more information on this form.
